It might have killed the cat, but we let curiosity be our guiding star for two weeks of 'Wauw! look!' through San Fransisco, Yosemite, Death Valley, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and back to SF via The Pacific Coast Highway. We being myself and my 18-year old daughter Fiona.

Our plan was rock solid: take it as it comes. We had pinned some stops along our way, but how to get to and from everything was decided on the go. We drove a Ford, wore our best manners and our hopes high. The autumn sun rode along all the way. A way that ended up treating us with Black Sesame ice cream, american football, magic mountains, the story of Whistling Billy, water circus, cable cars, waffles and 2.750 kilometers of twisty roads - just to name a few. But above it all we were granted the mesmerising beauty of Mother Earth. The landscapes of California and Nevada continues to give. Behind every corner, there's a view you can't even imagine. We took it all in and took it home as a shared memory we'll always treasure.
